Who we are

StreamVODs is run by Voupe. Voupe ("we", "us", "our") is a company based in England. This privacy policy covers how we will use, collect and process any data provided to us.

Email addresses

We will store your email address for the purposes of managing your account with us. This information is required in order to ensure you are informed about your imported VODs. These can be enabled/disabled in your user settings. Your email address is also used by our payment processor, Paddle, for notifying you about subscription payments.

Outgoing emails

Transactional emails will be passed through Postmark and stored for a period of time to assist with debugging delivery problems and ensuring messages are appropriately delivered to their destinations. This is necessary to provide our service to you.

Analytics

We use a self hosted version of Plausible to help us track the details of visitors browsing our public website. Plausible is a privacy-friendly website analytics application that tracks and reports aggregate website traffic without compromising on your privacy. Plausible only reports on aggregates, so no information specific to the website visitor is ever tracked or recorded.

Twitch

  • By logging in with Twitch, you agree to the Twitch Terms of Service
  • The Twitch Privacy Policy explains how Twitch handles your data
  • We store your Twitch ID, username, email address and profile image when logging in
  • When importing a VOD from Twitch, the title, published date, thumbnails and chat are saved
  • To revoke access, please go to your Twitch Connections page

YouTube API Services

  • StreamVODs uses YouTube API Services to upload VODs to your YouTube account
  • By logging in with YouTube, you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service
  • The Google Privacy Policy explains how Google handles your data
  • When adding your Google account, we store your Account ID and profile image
  • When importing a VOD, the YouTube Video ID is also stored
  • If your account is setup for it and once enabled, we will use your Google account to upload VODs to your YouTube account
  • In order to make the process as automated as possible, we will also change the title of the uploaded video as well as the description and make videos private or public
  • To revoke access, please go to your Google Security Settings page

Cookies

We only use 1 cookie which is required for remembering if you are logged in or not. This is called _streamvods_session.

Backups

We store backups of the StreamVODs database. Backup data is encrypted and stored off site in a secure data centre. Backup data is stored for a period of 4 weeks.

Electronic storage of data

No method of electronic storage can be 100% secure, however, we have sophisticated and detailed security policies that govern our systems & applications to help ensure your data is as secure as it can be.

Our lawful basis for data processing

Under the General Data Protection Regulation, unless we have otherwise specified above, we will be processing your data as a legitimate interest. These interests include staff training, ensuring the security of our systems and to allow us to operate our business in an efficient manner.

Where our processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent at any time.

Where our processing is necessary for us to perform our contract with you, or to take steps to enter into a contract with you, we will not be able to enter into a contract with you or deliver our services to you if you do not give us the data in question.

Disclosure of information to law enforcement agencies

We may disclose your information if we are requested to by any law enforcement agency where we believe we are required to comply with the request under any applicable laws.
